Less The Band is from New York City. All members write the music and power the ship. They could blah-blah like Pixies, they might shig-dig like Modest Mouse, or possibly they'll ring-ding like My Bloody Valentine, but at its core, LTB are transients looking for a binding spark. Some members have toured the world with rock bands big and small, others have done far more damage by staying in town.

For LTB’s first recording, the group worked at Soma Studios in Chicago with Tim Iseler, (engineer for Tortoise, Wilco, Rachels), and then in New York with engineer Kevin Meeker (Dr. John, Liz Phair). On April 9, 2006, Less the band independently release their first album, Bear, with plans to release a second album before the year’s end. Members of Less the band are also founding contributors to Motherlodge.

They dream of black bears and robots making love and their beautiful offspring.
